OnePlus 8 pro and OnePlus 8: Release Date, prices, confirmed leaks
The OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 pro are the phones that most of us are looking forward to in the month April.
This month the company will hold an event on 14 April to publicize these Smartphones which is one day ahead. The event is being delayed to 14 April because of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
However, before the launch of these Smartphones we have received some photos that are leaked by the guys of the PC -tablet and 24-Techie that give us the idea what the One Plus 8 flagships have in the front and the back.
A pair of leaks suggested that these phones will include a slate of new colors that include the purplish red one also called the Intersteller Glow.
Ishan Agarwal and WinFuture both posted images of the new phones which also include three more colors Glacial Green and Onyx Black and Ultramine Blue
It is not confirmed that all these colors will be available in the OnePlus 8 pro. But the previous leak showed renders with the green hue. The OnePlus is promising that this time its phones will be beautiful to look at and easy to operate. It is difficult to say anything until the phone is reviewed
A new member can be added to the family of the OnePlus 8 series a “OnePlus 8 lite or OnePlus Z” that will be probably be delayed and come later in this year. This one will be lower in price and will have much to offer as a phone as per the leaks.
The OnePlus 8 isn’t ready to show how its new headsets look like, but @evaleaks has taken care of that, he showed the four -color variations Blue, Black, oats, mint. The phone along with its accessories will be unveiled on 14th April.
As per the earlier leaks OnePlus 8 may have 6.78inch QHD+ display, a 120 Hertz Refresh rate which seems to be the smoothest, most effortless and scrolling experience over the Smartphone and under the screen we will for sure find a fingerprint reader.
The OnePlus 8 pro will incorporate a LPDDRM5 RAM, a quadruple camera set-up, an IP68 water and dust-resistance rating, a huge 4500 mAh battery, 30 W wireless charging( But it’s proprietary to their own charging pad. It’s universally Qi-compatible at 5 watts ) and 3W reverse wireless charging. This one resembles the premium model of the flagships.
The smaller OnePlus 8 may have a 6.55inch FHD+ display, a 90 hertz refresh rate screen, a triple camera setup, a LDD4RX RAM, a 4300 mAh battery and no wireless charging or IP Rating.
Both of the above phones may have a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 chipset with a 5G processor and a 12 GB of RAM.
What would be it might cost as per the leaks?
The company has been steadily increasing the prices of its smartphones over the years. The jump in prices is assumed to be biggest this year.
- According to some leaks the OnePlus 8 price will start at a price of 60,000 rupees( euro 719 ) for 8GB and 128 GB storage mode.
- The 256 GB variant may cost around 68,000 rupees( 819 Euro ).
- The OnePlus 8 pro can be more expensive with a 8GB price starting at 75,000 rupees( Euro 919 ).
- And at last the Top-end variant with a 12 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage is tipped to be more expensive and will have a retail of 83,000 rupees( 1009 Euro ).
Now let us dive deep into what we might except from these new Smartphones and what the leaks are suggesting. Let us, first talk of the display that these phones hold.
OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 pro: Display
The smaller variant OnePlus 8 will come with a 6.55inch Full HD+ 90Hertz Fluid AMOLED Display, with the aspect ratio of 20:9 and a pixel density of 402ppi.
The OnePlus 8 pro is tipped to get a 6.78-inch QHD and 120 FLUID AMOLED panel, with the pixel density of 513ppi with the aspect ratio of 19.8:9. This phone of the series is supposed to be the premium phones of the OnePlus 8 series.
The Display mate has already assessed the screen giving it highest possible rating (A+) that seems alarming for its rivals the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
The OnePlus 8 pro had IP68 rating (water resistant) and may come in three shades blue, black, and green while the OnePlus 8 doesn’t have a water-resistant rating and comes in glow, Black, and green Shades.
Another leak suggested the 120 hertz Refresh rate on the phone will be slightly better than on the Samsung Galaxy S20.
As per that same leak, the 120 hertz resolution will work at whatever resolution you are viewing the screen in.
A week ago, Robert Downer Jr may have possibly leaked the first image of the OnePlus Device. It is not the first time that he became the image of the OnePlus Device which points to the fact the protagonist of Iron man will continue to be one again.
The biggest design leaks in the form of leak renders suggest that the OnePlus 8 will have three cameras on the back, and a single punch whole camera on the front, and a curved without bezels screen.
OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 pro: Camera
The biggest leak suggest that the standard model will have an 48 MP, 16 MP, and 2MP sensors on the back while the OnePlus 8 pro will have two 48 megapixel ones, an 8 MP one, and a 5 MP one. Both of these will have a 16 MP one on the front.
A recent leak suggested more in detail camera set-up saying to except a 48 MP at f/1.8 main camera, a 16 MP ultra-wide one, and 2 MP macro one.
There is also a leak suggesting that the OnePlus 8 lite will have a three-camera setup 48 MP, 16 MP, and 12MP rear lens and front- facing camera can be 16megapixel on the OnePlus 8 lite and 32 Megapixel on the OnePlus 8 pro.
Carrying three cameras being the budget version of the OnePlus 8 series seems quite fascinating. It seems the OnePlus 8 lite is not that lite. This phone could rival the roads for the midrange mobile devices.
The main lens in the OnePlus 8 one will be an IMX586 sensor, and the OnePlus 8 pro will be an Sony IMX689.
OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 pro: Battery
The oneplus is finally going to make use of the feature that has been long due. A great news for this flagship lovers is that OnePlus 8 pro will support wireless charging with a 30 W charger and 3W reverse wireless charging. The phone will have a huge 4510 mAh battery.
The standard model OnePlus 8 will have 4,300 charging support with no wireless charging which is enough to keep you for a day of use.
This charger will notably be called the “Wrap charger 30” wireless charger which also indicates that it will be rated 30 W.
There is also a rumor that the new wireless charger will cost around $70 dollars or about 5,500 rupees. What, I really want to find out is that whether the charger could be used for other Smartphones. But, for that we have to wait for 14th April which is just one day ahead.
The OnePlus 8 series confirmed specifications
These phones will have a USB-C connectivity, Wi Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1 and will support 5G connectivity. But still we won’t get 3.5 mm headphone jack which is quite which is sad as we won’t be plug in our nice headphones to our phones.
