Xiaomi’s much expected entry into the true wireless space in India came in May 2020 with a combination of two pairs of affordable true wireless earphones. While the slightly more expensive and feature driven Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 are available for just Rs.4499. There is also a lot of attention on the Redmi Earbuds S and its impressive pricing. The Redmi Earbuds S is among the most modest true wireless headsets available in India, following in the Redmi brand philosophy of selling quality products at affordable prices.
It just weigh 4.1g each, which makes the headset among the most comfortable true wireless earphones available in the market. The earbuds stayed anchored in our ears easily without any support. Here you will get three pairs of silicone ear tips inside the box which makes it easier to get fit right. The earbuds are IPX4 rated for water resistance, which is quite enough to protect from occasional splashes and a bit of sweat.
Each earphone has a large button facing outwards which is used to control playback, voice commands and the low latency mode on the Redmi Earbuds S.
The charging case of the Redmi Earbuds S is neither too small nor too large and it looks good. There are built-in magnets which keep the lid shut and also let the earphones stay in place.
Stable connection and sound quality
We all have heard impressive sound quality from high end true wireless earphones but the affordable segment is still far behind. But overall, we have seen things improving and the budget segment does have a handful of options which offers very good sound for the price. This is the one such product which offering clean and capable true wireless sound for less than Rs.2000.
Despite being limited to just the basic SBC Bluetooth codec the redmi Earbuds S sounds good. We have found the sound to be clean and inoffensive and it was surprisingly on par with or better than what we have experienced on neckband style wireless earphones at the same price.
It provides connectivity with none of the sacrifices which is typically come with the design. The Redmi Earbuds S had none of the rough edges or tuning faults we have usually heard on affordable wireless earphones.
The Redmi Earbuds S is acceptable for voice calls we didn’t face any major issues with call quality in indoor atmosphere and the connectivity was generally stable across use cases as well.
Xiaomi has shown that it is possible to sell good quality audio products at surprisingly at low prices, firstly they have introduced the Mi Dual Driver Earphones and now the Redmi Earbuds S. These are surprisingly good for the price and are definitely the best pair of true wireless earphones you can buy for less than Rs.2000.
With a combination of good design, useful specifications and clean sound quality which makes it pretty much everything right considering its price.
It may costs at just in Rs.1799.
Here I am concluding that the review of the above mentioned Earbuds are good which have essential features within it.
