CES (Consumer Electronic show) is the world biggest Tech Show which happens every year for those who thrive on business of consumer Technologies. It has provided a solid ground for innovators for past 50 years. It is a global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to market place. It is owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). Previous year CES event was held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This event introduced ground breaking laptop and robots, self- driving cars and Brand new 8k TVs. It was another year full of innovative ideas. Samsung showed Robots which are still being shown with ever-greater level of Sophistication. CES is your window into the future world. Samsung and LG unveiled some beautiful TVs. Google Assistant will get a bunch of new features. The first CES was held in June 1967 in the New York city. The event had 17500 attendants and 100 exhibitors. In 1998 show changed to once a year format with Las Vegas as the location.
Its during the CES events we will hear from the leading consumer Tech brands as they unveil the new products and gadgets at their keynote events. CES is a massive event which takes over majority of Vegas strips. Fun fact is there are 1,60,000 hotel rooms and 1,80,000 attendees each year. Thankfully CTA(the company that puts on the show) has buses running to and from the sand from 6 pm to 9 pm.
All that said be prepared to walk as the convention center itself is so massive. Walking either can easily take between three to four hours. Previous year, Apple attended the CES for the first time in the decade. Apple took part in the security round table. Exhibitors like Amazon, Canon, Facebook, intel, LG, Lenovo, Microsoft, Samsung, Sony, MSI and many more took part in the event.
Now admittedly, not everyone there is to Show off their new products. A good majority of companies are their to do business, some are there to get the feedback and make a presence rather than debut something new. But, there were still hundreds of products in each category that made debut the previous year.
