OnePlus company: what they dont want to show us
One plus is a young startup founded on 16th December 2013 by
an ex-employee of OPPO electronics, Pete Lau. It is based in Shenzhen, Guangdong. They have released numerous phones and other devices. The company main aim was to design a phone that would balance high end-quality with lower price than other phones in its class, believing that customers would “Never settle” for lower-quality devices produced by other companies. It is currently majority owned by OPPO as its only shareholder, which is a branch of BBK electronics along with OPPO, Real me and VIVO. However, both ONE Plus and OPPO denies that One Plus is a brank of OPPO and maintain they are independent companies.
OnePlus is known for its slogan “Never Settle” and wallpapers
which play a big role in the company.
Its headquarters is situated in Tairan Building in Chegongmiao,Futian district.
Birth of One Plus:
One plus was founded by the Ex-vice president of OPPO company Pete Lau and Carl Pei on December 2013. This company launched its first device on the One Plus One, on 23 April 2014 with the intention to capture the market from Nexus series. While the OPPO and VIVO were focused on creating and maintaining as premium offline smartphone, OnePlus aimed to deliver its products through online services. The company has tied hands with a lot of online Retailers like Amazon in a past of couple of years.
Talking of its products, OnePlus has launched various phones and Headsets. The company first product was OnePlus One which was claimed as a “2014 flagship killer”. Then came the OnePlus two which was launched a year later after the first one. It was the first Android device to support USB-C port over the old micro USB port. And, it was promoted as a “2016 flagship killer”. One Plus 3 was well regarded among critics for its low prices and higher specifications. After that company kept on launching phones with newer specifications.
At the launch event of OnePlus 6 the company launched it OnePlus Bullets Wireless Earphones. The earphones have the company’s Dash wireless Technology with a USB-C port that allows five hours of playback for 10 min of charging.
The first smart TV from smartphone-maker OnePlus launched in September 2019.It will have a mid-range pricing, but won’t undersell itself.
