YOUTUBE MUSIC APP FOR APPLE WATCH: replacing Google Play Music
“YouTube music app for Apple Watch launched ahead of Wear OS by Google Version.”
Here’s the insight into the latest launch of YouTube music on Apple Watch. Apple Watch users can now browse Music, Control playback directly from the app and also gives recommendations for new songs.
On October 16, YouTube music app is floated on Apple Watch, arriving before an official Wear OS version and only further illustrating Google’s ongoing issues with its competing wearable platform.
Users need the latest version of YouTube music and an Apple Watch Series 3 or above, also a YouTube premium subscription and iPhone to experience this update. Google has already prepared to deny Google play music later this month, hence it has been working on introducing new features for Youtube music. This launch comes ahead of Wear OS by Google Version.
You can download the app on your Apple Watch from the App store. This app will have a customisation feature that lets you see the recommendations according to their preferences and also about new, trending music.
It also provides related information directly on the watch face, also gives users access to playback directly. Users can play the music using Google assistant and cast the music to speakers with just pressing a button. The app’s Explore tab is also expanded to include global YouTube Charts.
“Whether you’re out for a run, riding your bike or just walking around the house – YouTube Music for Apple watch puts playback controls within easy reach,” said the YouTube Music team in a blog post.
This week, Google has also raised up new features to handle the YouTube music app’s experience on TVs. A blog post by Wear OS platform claimed, “This is just the beginning for YouTube Music on smart watches. Stay tuned for additional updates on YouTube music availability on Wear.”
